Safety at Home
It is important to make sure you have checked every room in your home for these potential dangers or hazards:

Are all dangerous items kept out of reach and cupboards and drawers secured with locks?

Are safety outlet plugs blocking all unused power points?

Are door stoppers/door grips being used to prevent fingers being caught or slammed in doors?

Are all door knobs covered to prevent access into unsafe rooms?

Are hard corners covered with cushioned guards?

Are all blind and electrical cords wound up and secure to prevent strangulation?

Are shelves and wall units secured with straps to prevent from falling over?

Is furniture away from windows and are all windows locked?

Is there a stove guard and stove handle covers to avoid accidental burns or fires?

Are safety gates in place to stop your child entering parts of the home that are off limits or are unsafe?

Is the toilet lid kept down with a lock?

Are there non slip mats or appliqués in the bath to prevent falls?
